OHDIR Foundation has distributed 100 blankets among the poor and distressed cold wave victims of Akubpur village under Tarail Upazila of Kishoreganj district on 23rd January 2022. The distribution ceremony was held at the office premise of Dr. F. R. Bhuiyan Social Development Center of OHDIR Foundation. The ceremony was presided over by local philanthropic Dr. Sirajul Islam Bhuiyan.
American Alumni Association (AAA) provided full financial support for purchase of the total number of blankets. Mr. Imtiaj Rasul, representative of AAA delivered his speech in the ceremony and actively participated in the distribution process. In his speech he expressed his gratefulness to the authority of OHDIR Foundation for organizing such an organized distribution ceremony. He also made commitment for future help and support.
OHDIR’s Vice-Chairman Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman Bhuiyan, Director Dr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun and Dr. Shamim Jubayer were present in the ceremony and all of them delivered their speech. OHDIR’s directors thanked AAA for choosing the poor people of OHDIR’s working area for distributing blankets. They also expected further continued support from AAA in the upcoming days.
Among the other guests, local philanthropic Mr. Akil Udduin Bhuiyan (Hakku) was present and gladly took part in the distribution process. OHDIR’s staff Mr. Sobuj Ahmed, Ms. Tonni Khatun, Ms. Roksana Akter, Ms. Mazeda Begum, Mr. Titu was present in the distribution ceremony.
This may be noted that, this program was a continuation of series of winter drive by AAA and on 10th January 2022 blankets were also distributed at Kamalganj শীতার্তদের মধ্যে কম্বল বিতরণ কর্মসূচী which is another working upazila of OHDIR.
