From January 2018, OHDIR Foundation has started primary eye care service for the people of Akubpur, Tarail. Dr. F. R. Bhuiyan social development center is situated in such an area of Kishoregang district where there is no eye care service within surrounding 20-30 kilometers of area. While providing the primary eye care and screening service, it has been found that there are lots of patients suffering from cataract. But OHDIR has no arrangement to serve those people with cataract. In this situation the Vice-Chairman of OHDIR Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman Bhuiyan who is simultaneously an executive member of ‘Lions Club of Dhaka Oasis’ came forward with the service for the poor suffering people.
Now, OHDIR has started another service for the poor people who are suffering from cataract. The first batch of 10 patients of cataract got their eyesight restored with the direct support and supervision of Mr. Anisur Rahman, the president of ‘Lions Club of Dhaka Oasis’. After the successful mission of 1st batch of eye-sight restoration program, now some of the well-wishers of OHDIR Foundation came with their personal donations who even do not want to publish their names.
