Blanket Distribution Program of OHDIR and AAA

On 12 January, 2026 (Monday), a humanitarian blanket distribution program was jointly organized by the American Alumni Association (AAA) and OHDIR Foundation at Akubpur village of Taljanga Union, under the working area of Dr. F. R. Bhuiyan Social Development Center. Through this initiative, 50 cold-affected and underprivileged villagers received warm blankets to help them cope with the harsh winter.

The initiative went beyond providing physical warmth; it symbolized compassion, solidarity, and a strong sense of social responsibility toward marginalized communities. By standing beside the poor and vulnerable during extreme cold, the organizers reaffirmed their commitment to humanitarian values and community care.

Several representatives from OHDIR Foundation were present at the event, including Program Officer Ms. Tonni Khatun, Eye Care Service Provider Md. Shakibul Hasan, and Akubpur Unit Manager Ms. Majeda Begum, along with other local stakeholders and volunteers.

The program was chaired by Dr. Sirajul Islam, who highlighted OHDIR Foundation’s long-standing dedication to supporting disadvantaged rural populations. In his speech, he stated:

“OHDIR Foundation has been working alongside helpless and impoverished people in rural areas for many years. Today’s small initiative will become a ray of warmth and hope in many lives. We will continue our humanitarian efforts in the future as well.”

He also expressed sincere gratitude to the American Alumni Association (AAA) for their valuable support, adding that such collaboration proves how collective efforts can create meaningful change in the lives of even the most vulnerable members of society.

Through initiatives like this, OHDIR Foundation continues to demonstrate its commitment to humanity, dignity, and inclusive development, especially during times of crisis.

OHDIR authority expressed their gratitude and appreciation to AAA for choosing OHDIR as an institution capable of providing such a service among many other organizations, and also pledged to strongly support similar activities in future.
